CLOUD GARDEN's GREEN FACADE

The EFIX system is an easy to install facade system for (architectural) applications. Suitable for new builds and existing buildings.

CIRCULARLY PRODUCED
MODULAR
50 KG PER M2
FIRE SAFE

The EFIX system can be installed on these surfaces

The green facade can be installed on all structurally sound facades with a load-bearing capacity of 50 kg per m². From concrete, brick, wood to steel. Even some sandwichpanels are suitable.

Grow panels

The green facade is constructed with grow panels. These grow panels consist of a basket made of galvanised steel wire. The steel contains an epoxy powder coating and an envelope with HDPE film. The stone wool substrate in the basket serves as a moisture and nutrient medium for the plants.

Panel sizes

The panels are installed in a vertical suspension construction made of high-quality Magnelis steel.

Height =
1000 mm        875 mm
750 mm           625 mm
500 mm           375 mm

Width =
600 mm           450 mm
300 mm

(The panels can be custom-made)

Irrigation system for green facades

A fully automatic irrigation system provides the right levels of moisture for the green facade. From a basic standalone system to an advanced web-based system with options such as moisture and temperature sensors.

A network of invisible pressure-compensated pipes provides uniform distribution of nutrients and moisture.

PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION OF THE EFIX-SYSTEM

Preparation for installation is necessary before the system can be attached to the facade. For example, the irrigation system that needs to be installed on the facade. The drippers need to be connected to the water supply and the water outlet connected to the gutters. The irrigation system can then be connected to the water network.

THE BENEFITS
OF THE
EFIX-SYSTEM

Description

Before the system can be attached to the facade, installation preparation is necessary. Consider the irrigation system that must be installed in the facades.

Noise attenuating

A green facade helps reduce noise from outside. The plants have a sound-insulating effect due to their irregular shapes. They absorb sound vibrations and reflect sound waves in different directions.

Good insulation

The green facade acts as a buffer against heat penetration and therefore compensates for temperature fluctuations from outside. The building therefore remains cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

CO2 reduction

A green facade helps reduce CO2 concentrations in the air. The plants on the facade absorb the CO2 and convert it into glucose and oxygen, which improves the air quality.

Biodiversity

The green facade is a habitat for various animal species such as birds, butterflies, bees and other insects. These animals can live, eat and nest on the facade, which contributes to local biodiversity in urban areas. Read more about biodiversity.
